My name is Andy and this is my Work From Home Blog.

Both my wife and myself work from home, and we have a network of friends who also work from home – many having setup their own home business, and some getting paid for what they do, both online and offline.

There are lots and lots of different ways you can work from home – online, offline, or a hybrid of the two, and working at home provides many benefits especially if you are a stay at home parent.

I think it is fair to say that attitudes to working at home have changed over the last 10 years or so, and even large corporates actively encouraging their employees to work from home, especially as the technology of communication gets more advanced.  These days it is much more cost effective to run a webinar of conference call than it is to travel into the office or have the cost of an office space allocated to you.

So this website really contains a little bit for everybody.

• For those working at home for an employer we have some great information,
• For those who are seeking additional income opportunities to either supplement (or replace) their day job
• For those seeking opportunities to work online or offline if they have been laid off their work or looking after the kids at home
• For those looking to run a full time or part time business from home (as my wife does!)

So, how does this help you, my website visitor? Well, for a start ,I have done a shed load of research on different ways people have made money and run their own business. At home, full time, part time, around the kids, hours to suit!

And these are the ideas now on my website.

Needless to say I haven’t tried all of the ideas myself. A lot don’t appeal to me.

But they might appeal to you.

And this site is really a summary of ideas and actions other people have taken – what you could do if you put your mind to it at home with your computer… and some great ideas without your computer as well.

I have loads of work at home ideas, from those that earn a bit of extra money to those with the potential to enable you to quit your day job…. all in one place!

I also have some great articles on setting up and running your home business, partly from research but also from the setting up and running of my wife’s business and the thought process we went through to get it off the ground and up and running.

Remember though there are no silver bullets – almost all of these work from home ideas will require hard work and dedication … but there is potential in each of them IF YOU TAKE ACTION.

And also remember that everyone is different. So what appeals to you may not appeal to everyone. You may really like web design but hate article writing, whereas Fred next door might be the opposite.

It’s also worth pointing out that the purpose of this site is to generate ideas – it would be impossible for me to test out everything and, well, to be honest, I wouldn’t want to. But the information is here, and I will keep adding to it regularly.
