Start an Affiliate Marketing Business

There are many many ways to make money online and affiliate marketing is one of the most effective. A lot of people will start with the online survey route, or look at data entry or making money on eBay. However, one of the most effective and straightforward ways of making money online is through affiliate marketing and you too can quickly and easily setup an affiliate marketing business to run part or full time.

    So what is affiliate marketing?

In a nutshell, affiliate marketing is an arrangement between an online merchant and an affiliate (which is you) whereby the affiliate earns a commision for generating sales, leads or even just clicks from the merchants website. This is a very grand way of saying if somebody buys from you get a cut

Create Your Own Informational Products and Make Money

Informational products are very hot on the web at the moment. If you are genuinely looking for a way to make money at home from your laptop it is well worth considering creating your own informational product. You may think that you have no specific knowledge or interests to share with the world, but you’d be surprised. There are some great products out there spanning an enormous range of topics, making their authors anywhere from a little to a lot of cash.

The first thing to do is think about what you’re good at, and what you enjoy doing. For example, a person who loves to cook would likely do well with their own cookbook. Or, let’s say you enjoy antiques. You could create an ebook that tells readers how and where to find the best antiques at a bargain price. Maybe you’re skilled at a particular sport or game. You could make an informational product filled with tips and strategies. The possibilities truly are unlimited!

After you come up with a list of potential topics, do some research on each one. By learning more about the subjects that interest you, you can decide whether or not you can come up with enough material for an informational product. The length of your product can range anywhere from a few pages to hundreds of them. It all depends on what you have to say. After you’ve researched your topics of interest a bit more, you will likely be able to choose the one that you feel is best. Your informational product doesn’t have to be excessively long, but it should be lengthly enough to entice potential buyers.

Now that you have a topic, it’s time to write your first draft. The first draft doesn’t have to be perfect, or even that good. The most important thing is that you get all the information you have down on paper. Many writers get caught up with trying to edit the first draft as they go along, which can lead to delay. Just put fingers to keyboard and don’t stop to edit until the first draft is finished. Once it is, you can go back and change things. During the editing process, you can fix spelling, grammar and punctuation mistakes and modify anything you don’t like. To package your product, you’ll either want a .PDF writer or an ebook creation program which converts your document to .EXE format.

Once you’ve completed your informational product, it’s time to sell it. One fantastic way to do so is via ClickBank. For a one-time fee, you can submit your product to ClickBank. Then, you can recruit affiliates to promote your product for you. The more affiliates you have, the more sales you’re likely to get. Your affiliates get whatever percentage of the sale price you designate. The higher the percentage, the more affiliates you’re likely to attract. Other ways to sell an informational product include via your own website or even Ebay. Many people make a very good living selling information, and with a little hard work and practice, you can be one of them!

Is Data Entry a Legitimate Home Based Business?

If you have been looking for a way to make money online or from home you will no doubt have come across lots of openings and opportunities to do “data entry”. So is data entry a good way to make money online or are you better off doing something else? As with most things online some data entry opportunities are more legitimate than others.

Personally, I have never done it so it would be remiss of me to make any recommendations but what is certain is that there are a lot of ads out there for people to do data entry as a way to make money online. Read more…

    Storestacker Review

One of the online tools I have been playing around with recently is called ‘Storestacker’ and here is my Storestacker Review.  Storestacker is an ‘Affiliate Niche Store Builder’ (according to the sales page).

At the time of writing it is being offered for a $1 trial for two weeks so I thought I would take the plunge and check it out, and I have to say I am immensely impressed with it. Storestacker basically gives you the ability to setup an online store using feeds from eBay (all geographies as far as I could tell) Amazon (both US and UK) and Clickbank (which sells eBooks and other digital/online products).    I will explain more during the course of this Storestacker Review.

If you signup as an affiliate (or associate in Amazon’s case) with these retailers then you will get a commision for every product which is sold which is sold through your store. And the best part is (at least for me anyway) is that you do not control stock, distribution or payments yourself – this is all done through the relevant retailer. You can see it in action at tips for celebrating christmas which took me about an hour to put up and customise (though see the notes below – it may take you longer).

    How Much Does it Cost?

The basic package is $97 which includes the ability to include Youtube videos, Clickbank and Amazon. You can add the Clickbank plugin for another $25 (high commisions) and the ability to add RSS feeds for another $25.. there are also additional options for Overstock, RegNow and HotelClub.com for a total cost of $222. Whilst this cost may seem excessive bear in mind that this is a one off cost and allows you to build as many stores as you want in as many niches as you want so the potential is enormous. You can also add text to any page, google adsense (contextual adverts where you get paid every time somebody clicks on them no matter if they make a purchase) and even your own articles. There are also 12 templates for the site and the tutorials are uniformly excellent. One of the areas which concerned me was how are product details kept up to date (especially ebay auctions). Well, the answer is through setting CRON on your server, so it’s not a realtime feed but the instructions are clear and easy to implement – to my mind the ability to combine feeds from various sources into one category more than makes up for this.

So where can it be used?

Well, you can create as a stand alone website, or as a store tagged onto an already existing website – in fact there are many possibilities which I would urge you to explore.

Storestacker Review – So what is the downside?

Well, part from the cost, there are certain things you do need (all of which are easily gettable) BUT if you haven’t got them there will be a learning curve.

First, you install it on your own domain which means you need hosting and a domain name. Second you will need FTP (although there are instructions on uploading if you don’t have FTP). FTP is free but there is a learning curve to use it. Thirdly, you will need Amazon, Clickbank and eBay affiliate ids – again, the process of setting up is straightforward but will add to your time to setup your store. If you don’t have all these things already I would say half a day setup is more realistic. If you need help with any of the above then please leave a comment below.

Overall, I am really looking forward to building more stores through store stacker. I hope you found this Storestacker Review helpful   – click on the banner below to find out more:
