First up is Google Adsense. It is possible to make some extra money from the Google Adsense program, some people make lots of extra money. The idea is that Google will place contextually relevant on your site which will result in you getting paid every time somebody clicks one of the ads. The great thing is that nobody needs to actually buy anything, they just need to click through to the advertiser. For their part, the advertisers pay Google to run their ads and everybody is happy. Googles robots will crawl your site to determine what it is about and the keywords used and in that way it delivers adverts which are contextually relevant to the page. Another great residual income idea is affiliate marketing. You can act as an affiliate for many different products and services. As an affiliate you are paid a commission for a sale of somebody else’s product. Unlike adsense somebody actually has to buy something but pick the right affiliate program and the commissions can be high. Many people act as affiliates for amazon and ebay and receive commisions for sales of physical products. EBooks are also very popular in earning affiliatecommisions as the commissions are high – often 50% to 75%. The best place to go is Clickbank for a whole range of downloadable products to promote.
A follow on from affiliate marketing is optin list building. The basis of this residual income idea is to build a list of people who you can email offers, ideas and recommendations. There are people who make a full time income from their list of subscribers and there are specialist tools called autoresponders through which you can setup and manage the whole process. The other advantage of using an autoresponder is that the process requires your subscribers to double optin (once by filling in a form and twice by clicking a confirmation link sent via email) which will prevent any accusations of SPAM.

Important post because the only good thing about a normal job is the regular pay check and that’s exactly what residual income can … almost … replace.
Leaving life a little less stressful! Personally I like to build a list and promote affiliate programs that pay me a residual income. It’s a good model and easy to run.
Then it’s all about getting the traffic!
