One of the interesting results of my research into ways to earn extra money from home is the realization that not everybody wants to ‘quit their day job’.

Some do for sure, but many, many people just want a method to earn just a little bit of extra money part time – maybe a little extra cash earned at home in the evening around their regular commitments, or when the kids have gone to bed.

They may not want to start a work at home career – they just may want a way to earn a little extra money to pay off the latest bill.

When I first started this blog I didn’t really appreciate that.

And now I do, and I have come to realize that many people (myself included), need the stability of a full time job to guarantee the mortgage payments. Especially in todays economic climate.

(Maybe I should rename the blog to “earn extra money” or something like that)

What the Internet has done is open up a whole new world of earning opportunities, including ways to earn extra money I bet you haven’t even thought of.

Here is my list of 50 plus ways you can earn extra money part time regardless of how much time you have to devote.

Some may only earn a trickle, others have the potential to earn you lots. Some may suit you, some may not.

They may not all be day job quitters, but with a little application each of these could pay some of the monthly bills.

And if you earn extra money regularly with one, why not try another as well?

30 plus Ways To Earn Extra Money Part Time

1. Write an eBook on an interesting subject and sell it
2. Think about a hobby or interest and blog about it
3. Sell Digital Products for a Commission (Affiliate Marketing)
4. Newsletter Marketing – Build a list of email subscribers, build a relationship, and recommend products to them
5. Buy and Sell Expired Domain Names. Domains regularly expire as webmasters fail to renew them. Pick a premium one and sell it on for profits.
6. Design and sell ’starter’ blogs that people can add to their own domains. Sell say 50 copies of the same site
7. Create a unique website, put in online, and sell it (Website flipping)
8. Use readily available Private Label Rights (PLR) products to create new products to sell
9. Create mobile websites compatible with mobile phones and profit from them
10. Offer Submission Services to Webmasters such as submitting articles to article directories for promotion purposes, or submissions to search engines
11. Become a Virtual Assistant – providing online admin services to anybody who needs it!
12. Become a Web Copywriter. Write sales pages and copy for online entrepenuers
13. Become a Web Designer. Design unique websites for small businesses and online clients
14. Sell Amazon Products for a Commission by setting up an online Amazon store
15. Sell eBay Products for a Commisions by setting up an online EBay Store
16. Get Into Cost Per Action (CPA) whereby a web visitor has to complete a specific action (not necessarily buy anything) for you to get paid…
17. Sell your own products on EBay
18. Or use EBay to dropship products from wholesalers where you act as the ‘middle man’
19. Write Articles and Sell Them to Webmasters
20. Create a Community Forum and run advertising on it
21. Become a  consultant for offline businesses wanting to improve their web presence
22. Become a Ghostwriter and create articles or eBooks on commision
23. Become a Submission Specialist (I will write an article on this soon) and submit websites to search engines, or articles to directories
24. Create wordpress themes or plugins and sell them
25. Use your digital camera and sell photographs to webmasters or stock photography sites
26. Create a Membership Site and charge members a monthly fee for membership. Drip feed your content
27. Make Money with Adsense on your webpage

30. Become a Guide on About.Com in an area in which you are an expert

You will need to make sure there is a relevant topic available, and you will need to go through a hiring process, followed by some specific online training, but if you have the capability then the opportunity to make money writing is there.

There are some stipulations such as the requirement to publish 4 articles a month in the first two years, but the rewards can be good – as their compensation guide says.

“In addition to a base payment (guaranteed to be $675 per month for Guides in their first two years, with a minimum of $500 per month afterwards), About.com pays Guides by measuring pageview growth (month-over-month for Guides in their first year, and year-over-year every year after) with payment incentives for pageview growth. If your pageviews grow, you will never make less than $675 per month.”

It’s worth checking out whether it is appropriate for you and you have the specific knowledge. Then go ahead and apply and make money writing.
